Matthew Perry’s ‘Friends’ Keepsakes and Artwork Go up for Auction for Foundation Named for Him
Proxy bidding opens as the auction offers 26 Friends scripts, photos and other Perry memorabilia to support addiction recovery programs.
- On Tuesday, proxy bidding opened for the Matthew Perry Estate Auction, featuring memorabilia and artwork to benefit the charitable Matthew Perry Foundation established after his 2023 death.
- Collectors can bid on 26 'Friends' scripts from key episodes, a signed photo album titled 'The One With the Last Supper,' and Perry's personal replica of the iconic yellow peephole frame from Monica's apartment.
- Perry's 1995 Screen Actors Guild Award for ensemble comedy performance and works by Banksy and Mel Bochner are also included, while Warner Bros. donated additional scripts signed by his 'Friends' co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
- "Matthew believed addiction should be met with compassion and science, not stigma and silence," said Lisa Kasteler Calio, CEO of the Matthew Perry Foundation. Proceeds will expand access to evidence-based addiction care.
- Heritage Auctions will display items in Beverly Hills from May 18 to May 29 before hosting the live auction at their Dallas showroom on June 5. Beneficiaries include the Matthew Perry Foundation Fellowship in Addiction Medicine.
