Penguins Extend F Connor Dewar, D Ilya Solovyov
Dewar and Solovyov were set for unrestricted free agency on July 1, and Dewar posted career highs of 14 goals and 30 points last season.
On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced contract extensions for forward Connor Dewar and defenseman Ilya Solovyov, finalized by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas.
Dewar signed a two-year extension through 2027-28 with an average annual value of $2.25 million after recording career highs of 14 goals and 30 points this season.
Solovyov received a one-year deal worth $850,000 through 2026-27 after posting eight points in 30 games split between the Colorado Avalanche and the Penguins.
During his five-year NHL career, Dewar has played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild, registering 37 goals and 46 assists for 83 total points across 316 games.
Originally selected by the Calgary Flames in the 2020 NHL Draft, Solovyov continues his development in Pittsburgh, securing roster depth for the Penguins' future Stanley Cup Playoffs campaigns.
