By John Goolsby and Johnny Sanders, Sports Editors PELL CITY — The Pell City Board of Education voted Monday morning to accept the resignation of former Alabama defensive lineman Nick Gentry. Gentry, who was hired in June of 2024 by now-former Athletics Director Marty Smith, compiled a 12-10 record in his two seasons leading the Panthers in 2024 and 2025.  His teams also made it to the playoffs in each of his two years as head coach.
