Peaky Blinders confirms return of two familiar faces in series announcement
On Thursday, the BBC announced that Conleth Hill has joined the cast of the upcoming Peaky Blinders spin-off, where he will portray Clemmy Keeler, the patriarch of a rival gangster family.
Set in 1950s Birmingham, the series follows the Shelby family a decade after Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, exploring the city's post-Second World War recovery and rebuilding.
Additional cast members include Samuel Bottomley, Arturo Muselli, Eugene Collins, Lucie Shorthouse, and Cal O'Driscoll as Aidan Keeler, while Daniel Monks joins as Detective Inspector Bell and Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee reprise their roles as Charlie Strong and Johnny Dogs.
Filming is currently underway at Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham for two runs of six hour-long episodes, which will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and on Netflix internationally.
Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton star as Duke and Charles Shelby, with creator Steven Knight describing the series as a "new era of Peaky Blinders, moving the story to post-war Birmingham.
