Bake Off Star Paul Hollywood Caught Speeding on M25 by Surrey Police
The Great British Bake Off presenter admitted speeding and received five penalty points, a £293 fine and a victim surcharge after police recorded 96mph.
Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood was convicted at Worthing Magistrates' Court on April 27 for speeding on the M25, pleading guilty to the offence.
On January 9, Hollywood was clocked driving his Land Rover Defender at 96mph on the M25, reaching speeds exceeding 105mph after joining the M26.
Tracking the chef in an unmarked car, Surrey Police officer Alexander McAlpine reported he saw Hollywood "repeatedly bully" other vehicles out of his path, recording the conduct on his dash camera.
The court issued five penalty points, a £293 fine, £120 in costs, and a £117 victim surcharge; a second charge of driving without due care and attention was dropped by police.
Hollywood blamed his driving on rushing an unwell cat to the vet, apologizing through his lawyers; he has previously joked about being told off by former co-judge Mary Berry for driving too fast.
