KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the seeding and opponents on Wednesday evening for the 2026 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round. The Wildcats earned the No. 3 seed in the Columbia, Kentucky bracket and will match up with the 2 seed Missouri Baptist for their first game. IWU will make their eleventh-consecutive* and overall NAIA Tournament appearance this year (*No 2020 Championship due to COVID-19).

Patriots to Host NAIA Opening Round as #3 Seed

Kansas City, MO – The Patriots earn the number three seed in the Williamsburg Bracket for the 2026 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Rounds, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday evening. The Pats will welcome Keiser University as the one seed and Saint Xavier University as the two. Benedictine College will represent the fourth seed and Oakland City University as the fifth to round out the five-team Williamsburg Bracket.

MBU Softball Begins Opening Round on May 11 Against Indiana Wesleyan - MBU Athletics

No. 8 Missouri Baptist University softball will open the NAIA Opening Round as the second seed in the Columbia, Ky., bracket and will take on the third-seeded Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats.
