The Xunta has given its approval to the future Local Government Act, which will replace the current regulation of 1997, which would soon be 30 years old. The document will now be forwarded to the Galician Parliament for processing, and its main objective is to ‘modernise the Galician local framework, simplify bureaucracy and adapt the rule to the digital environment’, in addition to ‘encouraging cooperation between administrations’.
