Parliament Wants to Tackle Schemes for Avoiding Inheritance Tax

The House of Representatives does not want small savers and investors to foot the bill for the proposed reform of the tax on income from assets (Box 3). A large majority is asking the Cabinet to at least consider inheritance and gift tax as an alternative source of coverage. The governing parties D66 and CDA also support this call, much to the displeasure of coalition partner VVD.
