The members nominated by Fidesz and KDNP to the Media Council were not elected, and the two factions subsequently withdrew from parliament.
The National Assembly elected Gábor Polyák as the chairman of the Media Council of the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) for a five-year term on Tuesday. The parliament elected the four members of the body nominated by the Tisza faction and Mi Hazánk for four years, but rejected the candidates of Fidesz and the KDNP.
The representatives of the former governing parties also left the room. The Tisza candidates and the candidate of Mi Hazánk were easily elected, and Gábor Polyák became the chairman of the Media Council.
Fidesz, the KDNP and Our Country are not satisfied either, the former two parties, for example, walked out of the meeting room after the vote.
The candidates of Fidesz and KDNP were not voted into the Media Council.
