The younger daughter of the former Tunisian autocrat Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, Halima was arrested in France at the request of the Tunisian authorities, it was reported this Tuesday, 30 September, from a judicial source. She is presented this Wednesday to the "General Prosecutor's Office for notification of the request for provisional arrest" issued by the Tunisian authorities.
Like all the family close to former President Ben Ali, his daughter Halima, 33 years old, is targeted by a request for extradition from Tunisia, which has been trying since 2011 to recover the property collected by the family clan. But it is far from certain that Paris is accepting the request of Tunis.
