Four Palestine Action activists guilty of criminal damage over raid at Israeli firm Elbit
The court said the raid caused about £1 million in damage and left one officer with a fractured spine.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, four pro-Palestinian activists were convicted at Woolwich Crown Court for their roles in a high-profile raid on an Israeli-linked defense facility in Bristol.
Four members of the group Palestine Action—Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio, and Fatema Rajwani—were found guilty of criminal damage for using a prison van as a "battering ram" to break into the Elbit Systems UK factory in August 2024.
During the "meticulously organized" assault, the activists utilized sledgehammers and crowbars to destroy approximately £1 million worth of equipment, including computers and drones, while spraying red paint throughout the facility.
One defendant, 23-year-old Samuel Corner, was additionally convicted of inflicting grievous bodily harm after he struck a police sergeant in the back with a sledgehammer during the ensuing struggle, resulting in a fractured spine for the officer.
The jury acquitted two other defendants of criminal damage, and the judge instructed jurors to set aside any personal views on the Israel-Hamas war, emphasizing that moral justifications were irrelevant to the specific charges of property destruction and violence.
