Pakistan top court orders ex-PM Imran Khan be moved to hospital from jail, local media says
The court said Khan should stay in hospital until Sept. 16 after his party and family raised concerns about his deteriorating health.

- Khan, 73, has been incarcerated since August 2023 following convictions he describes as politically driven. His lawyers reported significant vision loss in his right eye and deteriorating overall health during imprisonment.
- Cricket greats from around the world, including from India, expressed "deep concern" about his prison conditions in February. PTI spokesperson Zulfikar Bukhari called the ruling "a very welcome order," adding, "He should remain in hospital until all doctors are satisfied."
- According to spokesperson Naeem Haider Panjutha, Khan must remain at Shifa International Hospital until September 16 under the court's judicial mandate, addressing urgent medical needs previously raised by his family.
- The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party won power in 2018 but lost its election symbol ahead of the 2024 vote. Some of Khan's convictions remain under appeal, continuing legal battles surrounding his political future.
