- Humanitarian cargo will move in three stages, starting with 143 containers of food supplies, followed by medicines and medical equipment, then education kits from UNICEF, WFP, and UNFPA.
- Despite the humanitarian exemption, officials stressed the border remains closed to trade, with losses exceeding 100 million and up to 25,000 workers affected, including 495 queued vehicles.
- The Ministry of Commerce instructed the Federal Board of Revenue and Directorate General of Transit Trade to expedite phased clearance of UN containers, with aid allowed soon after talks with the UN resident coordinator.
