While addressing the general assembly, Shehbaz Sharif boasted that the Pakistan Army had responded to India's Operation Sindoor in May 2025 with precision and professionalism and had defeated the enemy. Indian diplomatic officer R. Srinivas, who was present in the meeting, was caught on camera laughing and shaking his head in disagreement with the Pakistani Prime Minister's statement, which has gone viral on social media.
