Battle of the Bays Features Winless Buccaneers and Struggling Packers
Watson has scored four touchdowns in three games, and Green Bay will lean on him more after Jayden Reed was ruled out for the season.
- On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium for a 1 p.m. EDT kickoff on Fox. Green Bay enters at 1-2 while Tampa Bay remains winless at 0-3.
- Packers wide receiver Christian Watson returns to his hometown of Tampa, where he attended H.B. Plant High School roughly 10 minutes from Raymond James Stadium. Watson has recorded 17 catches for 284 yards and four touchdowns through three games this season.
- Following Baker Mayfield's dislocated thumb injury sustained last week against Minnesota, the Buccaneers will start undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels in his first NFL game. Head coach Todd Bowles said, "Everybody has to do their job," emphasizing collective support.
- Green Bay faces offensive adjustments after wide receiver Jayden Reed underwent neck surgery and will miss the rest of the 2026 season. Quarterback Jordan Love operates behind a revamped offensive line featuring new veteran guards Kevin Zeitler, Laken Tomlinson, and Mekhi Becton.
- Both teams face playoff desperation: the Buccaneers seek their first win at 0-3 for the first time since 2014, while the Packers attempt to recover from a 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last week. Only the 1992 Chargers overcame an 0-4 start to reach the playoffs.
