Yeni Parti (New Party) MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz reacted to the plan to privatize bridges and highways, saying, "Citizens will no longer be able to connect the two sides of Istanbul."
Following the decision to privatize bridges and highways, it has been reported that a French company has been in contact with Ankara. It is also stated that Spanish, Japanese, and South Korean companies may participate in the privatization tender.
Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, the New Party's Zonguldak Member of Parliament, asked whether the free passage offered during religious holidays would continue in relation to the plan to privatize the two Bosphorus Bridges and eight highways operated by the state.
