UPDATE: On August 13, 2026, at 2:14 am, officers with the Lafayette Police Department were called to a single vehicle crash on I-10 east bound at the Ambassador Caffery Exit (Exit 100). Upon arrival officers learned an 18-wheeler was taking the exit ramp when for unknown reasons he left the roadway to the left and over turned.
