On Saturday evening, a security source reported that the area around Baghdad International Airport was attempted to be targeted by two drones. The source confirmed to Shafaq News that "the aircraft were dropped after attempting to target the airport's logistics support headquarters." He noted that "the remains of one of the two cruisers fell in the area of the Jihad neighbourhood near Baghdad airport."
"Eight separate attacks, carried out until dawn using rockets and drones, targeted the American center at the airport," an unnamed senior Iraqi internal security official told AFP. "Several rockets fell near the base," he added.
