State patrol arrests driver on I-75 with four previous convictions of operating vehicle under influence – BG Independent News
The Ohio State Patrol arrested an alleged repeatedly impaired driver for reckless operation on Interstate 75 near the Bowling Green exit Thursday. The Bowling Green post of the patrol received a call from a concerned citizen on Thursday (June 18) at 10:55 p.m., about a motorist driving recklessly. The caller told the dispatch center that a dark colored Ford Focus was traveling south on I-75 near milepost 181. The caller stated the vehicle was swerving across the roadway and traveling at inconsistent speeds. A trooper from the Bowling Green post located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on I-75 south near milepost 176. Signs of impairment were observed and the driver was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while impaired. Mohammed Mifta Rahman, 26, of Reynoldsburg, was charged with failure to drive within marked lanes, driving under suspension, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and domestic violence. According to the state patrol, Rahman has previously been convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence, once in 2019, twice in 2023, and once in 2024.
