Will Dante Moore Play This Weekend? Oregon QB Back in Practice, but UCLA Status TBD
Dan Lanning said Moore wore a helmet and shoulder pads at practice, but Oregon has not cleared him to play against UCLA.
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore returned to practice on Monday, Oct. 5, wearing a helmet and shoulder pads while throwing the football after suffering a concussion on Sept. 26.
Moore suffered a concussion after USC linebacker Desman Stephens II hit him on Sept. 26; medical scans revealed no additional injuries beyond the concussion.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning stated the program will "proceed with an abundance of caution" regarding Moore's return. Backup quarterback Dylan Raiola continues preparing as the starter.
The Ducks host UCLA on Saturday, Oct. 10, giving Moore a potential return against his former team. UCLA head coach Bob Chesney said his squad is preparing to face either quarterback.
Big Ten Conference rules mandate an injury report release Wednesday, Oct. 7, with daily updates through Saturday. Lanning noted a final decision on Moore's availability may not occur until hours before kickoff.
