Gulyás: Hungary will not take in a single migrant under any pressure
At the Government Info press briefing, Minister Gergely Gulyás firmly rejected the European Union’s recently adopted migration pact implementation, which sets a mandatory migrant quota for Hungary. “Hungary will not take in a single migrant,” the minister stated, even in times of crisis.
The EU "has no authority to decide who Hungarians should live with," said the chief of staff of far-right Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Hungary.
As expected, the right-wing populist-ruled Hungary also rejects the EU's new mechanism for dealing with migrants. Despite fines, the country wants to continue to act against EU asylum policy.
