A corruption operation was carried out against the municipality in Çeşme district of İzmir. As part of the operation, high-ranking bureaucrats, including the Deputy Mayor of Çeşme, were detained, while gendarmerie teams caught a cleaning worker red-handed trying to burn municipal documents.
