The Paris Public Hospital Assistance (AP-HP) was ordered on appeal to pay close to € 223 000 to a patient who had surgery for scoliosis in 2018. A screw that had been ill-positioned during the procedure had resulted in spinal cord injury and paralysis, says "Actu Paris". Today, the patient suffers from severe sequelae.
