In view of the risks posed by autonomous AI agents, ChatGPT developer OpenAI is pushing for mandatory national artificial intelligence (AI) security requirements in the US. Incidents in which AI models of OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta accessed external systems during tests had shown how difficult unexpected behavior was to contain, the company announced on Wednesday (local time). The US Congress had to act before the session break.
