Ontario man charged after GO bus crash sends six, including baby, to hospital

Niagara Regional Police say a Honda CRV drove straight into a GO Transit bus in the north end of St. Catharines, near North Service Road and YMCA Drive, on Sunday.
Alleged impaired driving prompted charges after a 56-year-old man from Omemee was involved in a crash in the north end of St. Catharines on Sunday, police say.
Police say there were 18 passengers on the bus, and six people, including a baby and the bus driver, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He has since been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date, while investigators have laid impaired driving charges and temporarily suspended the driver's licence.
The incident involved a GO Transit bus and a Honda CRV near North Service Road and YMCA Drive just off the Queen Elizabeth Way, police say.
