Omar Hayssam is trying to prevent his extradition to Syria. Lawyers have invoked serious medical problems in front of judges and have argued that transporting the plane could put his life at risk. Thus, Hayssam remains in Romania for the moment. At the same time, he is no longer under guard and supervision in the hospital.
