On the 24th, the Okinawa Times donated 16,398,638 yen, entrusted by the people of Okinawa Prefecture, to the "Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Fund" being collected by the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun, RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting, and the Kumamoto Goodwill Bank. Kumiko Takara, head of the Tokyo branch, visited the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun's Tokyo branch and handed the donation certificate to branch manager Takashi Ieiri.
