Okinawa Plant Industry Co., Ltd. decided at its shareholders' meeting and board of directors meeting on the 22nd to appoint Hiraku Nakahodo (59), a managing executive officer and director of Okinawa Electric Power Co., Ltd., as its new president, effective the same day. President Hiroyasu Kugai (62) assumed the position of chairman. Both men will have representative authority. Director Naohiro Shimabukuro (58) was promoted to managing director.
