"It's the Hamstring AGAIN": Knicks Fans Fear the Worst as OG Anunoby Goes Down With a Leg Injury and Mike Brown Has No Update
Mike Brown said the Knicks have no diagnosis or timetable after Anunoby left with an apparent leg injury and did not return.
The New York Knicks secured a 2-0 series lead over the Sixers with a 108-102 victory Wednesday night, but star forward Anunoby exited late with an apparent leg injury.
Anunoby appeared to sustain the injury while cutting to the basket for a dunk attempt, then limped significantly before requesting to be subbed out with 2:31 remaining.
Before exiting, Anunoby recorded 24 points, five rebounds, four steals, and two assists, providing elite two-way production central to the Knicks' postseason success.
Knicks head coach Mike Brown provided no injury update postgame, stating he had not yet spoken with medical staff while teammates remained cautious about severity.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in Philadelphia, and if Anunoby remains unavailable, the Knicks may deploy backup guard Miles McBride or shift Mikal Bridges to wing assignments.
