For the first time since the introduction of the test procedure, the performance of domestic pupils in all disciplines is significantly higher than the OECD cut. However, this is only because the successes in the other OECD countries have fallen even more. However, there are also positive exceptions.
Data from PISA25 show that it breaks in the learnings of mathematics and reading continue to fall. Portugal is, at the same time, one of the countries where students least claim to feel bullying.

School performance continues to deteriorate among 15-year-olds in OECD countries, with Mathematics and Reading recording the most significant falls in the last decade. The PISA study also points to the effects of digital distractions and alerts to the use of Artificial Intelligence in learning.
The reading competence has decreased and this makes it difficult to build up other skills as well. PISA 2025 suspects connections with fast-clocked feeds.
