Odell Beckham Jr. to Sign with Vikings Practice Squad
The Vikings added Odell Beckham Jr. after the Giants cut him following three games and 20 snaps in his return, according to Jordan Schultz.
The Minnesota Vikings signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to their practice squad on Wednesday, the team confirmed following his release from the New York Giants last week.
Beckham's return to the Giants ended after he played just 20 snaps across three games with zero receptions, prompting the team to release him last week.
The signing reunites Beckham with Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, who previously worked with him on the Los Angeles Rams. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Minnesota reached out "immediately" after the release.
With star receiver Justin Jefferson battling an ankle injury, the undefeated 4-0 Vikings seek offensive production, and Beckham will initially join the practice squad to provide veteran depth.
At 33 years old, Beckham aims to reassert himself after missing the entire 2025 season. Pro Football Focus analyst Bradley Locker noted the receiver's circumstances appear to be "trending upward" in Minnesota.
