Wisconsin Mom Raises over $1.2 Million on GoFundMe for Lindsay Clancy's Parents
Brandee Mulligan’s fundraiser for Lindsay Clancy’s parents has drawn donors from multiple countries and cannot be used for legal fees.
Oconomowoc mother Brandee Mulligan raised more than $1.2 million via GoFundMe to support the parents of Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of killing her three young children in Massachusetts in 2023.
Mulligan launched the fundraiser after observing Clancy's parents, Mike Musgrove and Paula Musgrove, during the murder trial, noting they had "emptied their retirement account" to fund her defense.
Though the campaign prohibits using funds for legal fees, supporters increased the goal to $3 million; Mike Musgrove said for three and a half years "they thought they were alone."
Mulligan has amplified messages from the Moms Mental Health Initiative through TikTok videos, stating, "This is a mom that wanted to do anything but hurt her kids."
Clancy's case ended in a mistrial following a postpartum psychosis defense, and while the legal process continues, the Musgroves receive financial support from donors across multiple countries.
