The deal gives Nvidia control of a platform used by more than 18 million developers and 200,000 companies, while keeping it open to other chipmakers.

  • In a blog post Thursday, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang wrote that Hugging Face will "remain an open platform for the entire AI ecosystem," addressing concerns about market consolidation.
  • Hugging Face CEO Delangue recently addressed a hacking incident, attributing the attack to "engineering mistakes" and confirming the company used an Nvidia version of a Chinese open model to resolve it.
