Norway launched a military training centre in Poland for Ukrainian soldiers, Camp Jomsborg, on the border with Ukraine. A training center for Ukrainian armed forces was opened on Wednesday at the Nowa Deba training ground in southeastern Poland. The inauguration of the internationally-initiated facility, called Camp Jomsborg, was attended by the Polish, Norwegian and Estonian defense ministers.

On October 1, the defense ministers of Norway and Poland opened the Camp Jomsborg training base in Lipa, south-eastern Poland. Here, the Nordic and Baltic countries will cooperate to train soldiers and officers for the Ukrainian army. Training was already underway when the base was declared open.
