- Southport Police Chief Todd Coring said, "He acted as what we call a 'lone wolf,'" and no other threats exist, while Governor Josh Stein expressed heartbreak and stressed fixing the broken mental healthcare system.
- Edge faces charges including three counts of first-degree murder and multiple assault counts, is held without bond, and his probable cause hearing is scheduled for October 13, with the bar closed indefinitely following the shooting.
