NIIF Raises ₹19,000 Crore for Second Infra Fund

- On Monday, August 31, 2026, the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited reached the first close of NIIF Infrastructure Fund II at $2 billion, representing more than 60 percent of its $3.2 billion target.
- Anchored by the Government of India, the fund secured capital commitments from global institutional investors including AustralianSuper, CPP Investments, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority , Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and Temasek.
- Indian institutional backers include ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Life Insurance, and HDFC Life Insurance; NIIF expects to mobilize approximately $950 million in co-investment capital for select transactions.
