Farage threatens to overhaul Lords and judges to meet his pledges
Farage said Reform would appoint hundreds of peers and remove obstructive officials if needed to push through its manifesto, after security delays and protests.
On Friday, Nigel Farage addressed the Reform party's annual conference in Birmingham, threatening to flood the House of Lords with "hundreds" of new peers to secure a majority if legislation faces obstruction.
Farage argued the Tories "had 14 years in power and failed absolutely miserably," while criticizing Labour Prime Minister Andy Burnham for his promise to set out a 10-year plan for the country later this year.
The speech faced a long delay due to a security alert, and protesters interrupted the Reform leader multiple times. Farage laughed off the disruption, chanting "boring, boring, boring."
Allegations broadcast by Channel 4 regarding Reform's political donation rules led to two of Farage's closest allies stepping down Friday, pending an internal investigation into the party's finances.
Addressing the judiciary as an "obstacle," Farage promised to remove the ability of judges to rely on the European Convention of Human Rights, while warning civil servants that those who "try to obstruct us" would be removed from their posts.
