Participants in the Carpathian Integration Initiative summit – heads of state and government and representatives from Austria, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine – declared their readiness to establish the Carpathian Integration Initiative as a platform for coordinating joint actions by states, their regions and local communities, European Union institutions, and other international partners, aimed at deepening European integration.
Following the results of the first “Carpathian Summit”, heads of state, government and representatives of Ukraine, Austria, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia adopted a final declaration.
The Carpathian countries should cooperate more closely in building roads and border crossings, developing energy connections, and promoting tourism and economic and cultural ties.
On an official visit to Ukraine, President Nicușor Dan attended the first Summit of the Carpathian Integration Initiative in the Ivano-Frankivsk region on Friday.
