Nicole Kidman Debuts Longest Hair Yet in Dramatic Met Gala 2026 Transformation
The Chanel ambassador wore a custom crimson gown and archival Omega jewelry, while co-chairing the annual benefit for the Costume Institute.
Actress Nicole Kidman co-chaired the 2026 Met Gala on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, arriving as one of the evening's four co-chairs alongside Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
The gala celebrated the 'Costume Art' exhibition, the first in the museum's new permanent galleries, with a dress code of 'Fashion Is Art' guiding attendees' interpretations.
Styled by Jason Bolden, Kidman's crimson sequined gown required 800 hours to craft and featured feathered sleeves and hip accents. She accessorized with a 1982 archival Omega watch featuring 224 diamonds.
Alongside Kidman, her daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban made her Met Gala debut in a pink Dior gown, proving the 17-year-old follows in her mother's fashionable footsteps.
The annual benefit raises funds for the Costume Institute, with this exhibition marking a milestone as the first permanent exhibition in the museum's newly established galleries.
