Claudia Winkleman Names Host of The Traitors Stage Show
The five-play adaptation will let audiences choose the Traitor each Saturday and offers alternate outcomes the television format cannot.
- On Thursday, producers announced actor Nick Mohammed will host the new West End stage production "The Traitors- Acts of Betrayal," opening June 8, 2027, at London's Gillian Lynne Theatre.
- Written by John Finnemore and directed by Robert Hastie, the production features a cycle of five separate plays, each compressing a full competition round into one sitting to explore different outcomes.
- Mohammed, a finalist on The Celebrity Traitors and star of Ted Lasso, was sworn in by series host Claudia Winkleman during a video filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
- On Saturdays, audience members decide who wears the cloak, determining which of the five scripts unfolds and enabling outcomes that television versions of the competition cannot provide.
- More than 40 territories have commissioned local versions of the format as Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions prepare for May 11, 2027, previews, backed by their experience with "Call the Midwife.
