The Erriff river finally reopened for fishing on the 28 July after been closed due to high water temperatures.   28 July Colin Lynam landed a 6lbs and a 5lbs salmon in the falls pool on a Micro Collie Dog and 4lbs salmon in the Middle Garden Pool and a 1lbs sea trout in the Gauge Pool on beat 9. Niall Lynch Landed a 7lbs salmon in the Middle Garden Pool on Beat 9 and two ½ lbs sea trout and a 5lbs salmon in the Falls Pool. Largnen McDermott landed a 11lbs salmon in the Falls Pool on a Black Shrimp on Beat 9. 1 August Niall Lynch landed a 6 ½ lbs salmon in the Falls Pool on Beat 9 on a Sunray. Largnen McDermott landed a 6lbs and a 2 ½ lbs salmon on Beat 9. Mick Dodkins landed two ½ lbs sea trout on Beat 5, Jenkins Pool on a Silver Stoat. 3 August Michael Dooley landed 7 ½ lbs salmon on Beat 9. Ian Ferris landed 5 sea trout around the ½ lbs to 1lbs mark and a 4lbs salmon on Beat 9. Peter Coyne landed a 4lbs salmon in the Falls Pool on Beat 9.
