The Masaya volcano, located 23 kilometers south-west of Managua, records from Wednesday night a swarm of more than 20 earthquakes, the largest of them of 3.4 degrees of magnitude on the open scale of Richter, according to a report by the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (Ineter).The Masaya Volcano entrance of Nicaragua records increasing seismic activity was first published in the Digital Process.
Nicaraguan authorities are monitoring the seismic swarm that occurred southwest of the Masaya Volcano and two tremors in Ciudad Sandino.
