Tegucigalpa, 5 May (Prensa Latina) Sixty-six percent of children in Honduras live in conditions of poverty or extreme poverty, reported today the Coordinator of Private Institutions for Children, Adolescents, Youth and Their Rights (Coiproden).
Honduras faces an alarming scenario of child protection, with 66.8 per cent of children living in poverty, 499 murders of children and adolescents since 2022 and more than a million outside the education system, which is compounded by child sexual abuse with one case every four hours.
