Newfoundland selling off its U.S. booze for charity, joining Nova Scotia and Manitoba
Newfoundland and Labrador will donate about $1 million from selling $3.2 million of U.S. liquor stockpiled due to tariff disputes to support food banks before the holidays.

- This week the finance office paid $500,000 upfront to 60 provincial food banks, helping more than 15,400 people, with total donations expected to reach $1,000,000.
