- During the June 23 game against the Las Vegas Aces, Sabally exited early after an elbow to the face from Aces forward NaLyssa Smith while competing for a rebound, entering concussion protocol.
- Sabally appeared in 13 games this season, averaging 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 45.9% from the floor. This marks her second significant head injury in 12 months after a 2025 WNBA Finals concussion with the Phoenix Mercury.
- Germany's national team will be without their centerpiece for the FIBA Women's World Cup in Berlin. Sabally wrote on Instagram last month that she must "listen to my body" and prioritize her full recovery.
- New York signed Sabally to a two-year, $1.6 million free agent contract this offseason. The team holds a playoff spot and faces four remaining games when the WNBA resumes after the World Cup break.
