According to the polls, the AfD is getting around 43 percent of the vote in Saxony-Anhalt. Almost twice as many as the CDU, Chancellor Merz's party.
The current Insa survey sees the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt at 43 percent. "There is no longer any fear of saying that the AfD is chosen," says Insa Managing Director Hermann Binkert.
The party is getting closer to its own majority in Saxony-Anhalt. It now leads by 21 percentage points over the second-place CDU.
