The first of a new fleet of trains ordered by the Victorian Government has been delivered and is in service in Melbourne. The X’Trapolis 2.0 train is the first of an initial $490 million order for 25 trains being locally manufactured by Alstom at its Dandenong and Ballarat manufacturing sites. The government has also ordered a further 25 trains, bringing the total fleet to 50.
