New Russian drones with jet engines can reach speeds of up to 600 kilometers per hour, making them more difficult for Ukrainian air defenses to detect and intercept. Kiev is therefore rapidly developing new interceptors, as using expensive fighters and missiles to destroy a mass of relatively cheap drones would exhaust the capabilities needed to defend against ballistic and cruise missiles.
