ÖBB and Stadler launch the new Cityjet double decker trains with a Vienna–Wiener Neustadt inaugural service. 109 new regional trains to boost capacity, comfort and sustainable rail travel in Austria.
On Wednesday, the ÖBB presented their new Cityjet double-stock trains. The train completed its first trip on the route from Vienna Central Station to Wiener Neustadt. By the end of 2026, 45 new double-stock trains will be in operation in the eastern region.
By the end of 2026, 45 new double-deck trains will be in operation in the eastern region. A total of 109 new sets will be purchased by ÖBB.
