New Found Glory performs at Epcot to honor Chad Gilbert

New Found Glory performed at Epcot in Walt Disney World on Monday to honor late guitarist Chad Gilbert during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, continuing their scheduled appearances despite his death on Sept. 20.
Gilbert, 45, died "peacefully in his sleep," his wife Lisa Cimorelli announced; the guitarist had faced multiple cancer diagnoses over the past five years, most recently battling stage 4 adrenocortical carcinoma.
During the performance, the band displayed Gilbert's customized Mickey Mouse guitar and included "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid" in their setlist, a track they previously covered for Disney's Whole New Sound.
The band wrote, "Every note we play and every word you sing at Epcot is for Chad," while fan Luke Husz said, "Such an amazing band and Chad was an awesome dude."
While fulfilling the Epcot dates, New Found Glory announced they are canceling their upcoming Aftershock Festival appearance to provide time for the band to process their loss and grieve.
